Default General Questions

Will OEM 19x12 C6 Z06 with 325/30/19s fit/tuck on a base C6?

How fast/snappy are the factory paddle shifters?

This will be my 1st Corvette, what are things I should
look for? (Auto, Targa Top) Normal Problems, Issues.

How many PSI can stock LS3 internals take?
LS3 Stock Block HP Max?

I will add to my questions as I think of them.

First off, a Z06 does not have paddle shifters...they are manual only.
Secondly, post up some information on what "roughly" you are looking for...price range, coupe/vert, man/auto, etc. Folks on here will be happy to guide you.

No ... The offset of the ZO6 / GS wheels is different than the offset of the base C6 wheels.

Put ZO6 / GS wheels on a base Corvette and they will stick outside of the fender wheel wells.

This pertains to both front and rear .... Don't do it

I'm not looking for a Z06. I just love them wheels.
I put them on my Syclone (see pix in my gallery).

Right now, I'm just asking questions about C6s.
When I start shopping it will be $20K range, Targa,
Auto (Hopefully 08+ with LS3 n A6 Trans, n Paddles).

Well, that blows. Thanx for the very costly heads up.

Very true ... That's your best bet

Just don't buy OEM GS / ZO6 wheels

From the sounds of it you really want the wide body. Get a Grand sport.

Problem is, he isn't buying a GS for even close to $20g.

325's will fit on an 11" wide rear wheel with proper offset.
Ace Slick is a wheel option in that size and looks very similar to the OEM ZO6 wheel.

They do make 19x12 C6 Z06 wheels
that fit with base model offset, right?
(Aftermarkets with base model offset)

Not sure what you mean by "pop" on the paddle shifters.

Mine has it and while it is fun it is NOTHING like a manual . With the NPP exhaust I love to hear the pops when I downshift .

To me it is a decent trade off since my wife does not drive a manual however sometimes I wonder since she has only driven my Vette 1 time in 4 yrs

My daughter that is a college student will drive it every now and then though

I said fast/snappy.

Some cars have factory slap shifters,
when u hit it for the next gear there is
a delay before it actually shifts gears.

The OEM A6 paddles will have a delay when shifting. A transmission tune can make them faster shifting for sure.

The Z06 style wheels are indeed available in C6 base offsets. I've had a set of aftermarket Z06 styles on my car since 2010.

No

A 19X12 wheel will stick out past the quarter panels even with an offset that will clear the rear suspension/etc.

this...It's not a DCT. I had a '09 C6 coupe w/A6, NPP & Z51 and traded-it 'cause it was boring...

(I'm not getting a Z06, but I see they have head issues?)
What are some issues Base C6s have wrong with them?
