Goodbye!
That's what makes the Corvette special -- a strong desire to own one, often from childhood; the never ending quest for modifications (no, I did not have a CAI) or going bone stock to make it "yours"; and unlike my late 70's Plymouth Arrow, a nearly guaranteed sense of regret when you finally part with it. Coupled with a close and diverse owners group who are always willing to lend (or wave) a hand and share an experience, the car remains in a class by itself, black wheels or not (not).
But, after six screws and two rods in my back, it was time to give it up for seats a few inches higher off the ground that offer a slightly easier exit. Perhaps that's the worse part of giving up a car I had wanted for almost 50 years. I had come to a point in life when I could afford it, when my body (and neurosurgeon) were saying "Whoa!"
But, I count my blessings. I owned a 2010 Blade Silver A6 1LT base coupe (yes, I was once a base person) and the 13 GS, the finest car I'll probably ever own.
Last, but not least, thanks Hammy.

I had a 2012 45th Anv. I got a ticket in it less than an hour into ownership.
The Radar detector was constantly going off. Every cop would pop it.
They never hit the Corvette no matter how fast I am moving.
Best day was trading that Camaro for the ATS 2.0T.
Man! Was that thing a cop magnet.

don't be a stranger here, and feel free to stop in at Hammy's anytime!
good luck with the new vehicle
