Chrome obsession.
So the prior owner of my 2011 GS did not do a very good job of keeping the exhaust tips clean. The little black baked on spots are a nightmare to get rid of. As I was sitting there rubbing my fingers to the bone trying to clean them I had an idea. I went and got my Dremmel tool out and put a polishing pad on it, applied some very fine "jewelers rouge" to it and in no time had them sparling like new!Has anyone tried this? My daddy always told me "it aint cool if the chrome don't shine". My wife gave me some weird looks as I was doing this. I think she feels like I should do the family silver next.

I've got a kit with attachments and several pads for my drill and 4 different polishing compounds. Works great.

Holy Crap! ... The underside of your Vette looks brand new!
How many miles did the car have on it when you took that photo?

I use the tapered and cylinder "Buff Bobs" from Harbor Freight. They're $3.99 each and work great.
