I just purchased these tires and I'm very happy with them.
I used them at the track a few weeks ago and they did very well.
And I have a crammed ls3. 450hp.
There is a new, Michelin A/S runflat coming out this week for the Corvette per Luke at TireRack. As to your second question, I don't think non-RF tires provide more protection from potholes, if what you mean is they are less prone to bend a wheel, or blow out/ruin a tire. What they are able to do is provide you with a comfort level knowing that IF something happens to the tire, you can still travel on it for a certain distance (and not be stranded in a town with no tires in your size or open). The most recent example I can think of is "Gearhead Jim." You might want to pm/em him. Also, you might ask Luke at TireRack.
I just bought 2 sets of these, one for daily driving and one for the track.
I'm an intermediate level driver on track, and they did great for me given the price.
As far as potholes, dunno. I will say that they have the softest ride from the tires I've put on the car. Non-run flats don't have the stiff sidewall like run-flats, so at minimum they will reduce the chances of bending the wheel if you do hit a pot hole.
Next purchase for track will be a more serious tire, but for daily driving I'd buy these again no problem..assuming I get a great deal like I did this round
Are the Continental Extreme DWS 06 tires available for the Grand Sport size tires? I know the the DW's are. I had the DWS 06's on my base 2007 convertible and loved them. My run flats are definitely going when they need to be replaced on my 2010 Grand Sport and will be replaced by non run flat Continental's.

I think hey are. I have an gs10 but I put 19-20s on a few weeks ago.
It still had the GY crap tires on. And it made a huge difference.
I'd go to tire rack and check them out and see. They have great prices.
Then go to your local Americas tire and have them price match

I just went to the Tire Rack site. They don't show the DWS 06 as an available tire for the Grand Sport. The DW is. I guess I could go to the Continental site.

Did you have any problem with bigger wheels then stock. I have a 2012 GS, what wheel and tire size did you go to. Thanks for more info
