Default Wow!

I just put new endlinks on my car and wow what a difference. My car is an 08 that I have had for right around 3 years. I had 2 things that annoyed the hell out of me when I got it. First was the chatter in 1st or 2nd around turns. Fixed that within a couple months by just replacing the rear end fluid. The second was another annoying sound that felt like I was going over gravel all the time. Felt like something was loose under the car under all four wheels. Never did really do anything about it till this week when someone else posted about the end links so I went to the local auto parts store and picked up some MOOG end links and just got done putting them on. What a difference. My last annoying sound is gone. Just an FYI. Was really an easy job too with my lift, couple 18mm's and a little elbow grease.

I also like the way they have the grease fittings, I just did them when I put on my AS+ tires for winter.

They are nice when new. However they will wear out due to groad grime wearing away the nylon. Then they get loose and noisy. Went through 2 sets at 300 a pop. Moogs have lasted 3 years so far.

How many miles do you guys have on your vettes? My 2011 has close to 89k, but are still tight. It's a daily driver, with track days too. Maybe because I pressure wash it once a week? I focus mostly on the wheel area, for brake dust, maybe it helps this too?

The older C6s had a different design end link that failed quickly. Went through 3 sets of GM end links, 2 sets of LG end links and now on Moogs.....177,000 miles on my 07.

Many things that are designed for race cars don't work well on street cars...even though the word "race" sounds really great. There is a difference between hardware that is made to work really well for a 500 mile race and hardware that is made to go 100,000 miles of street driving or more. The same thing goes for racing oil...it sounds cool but it is made to do a good job for one race, then the engine gets disassembled anyway. Racing oil never has to deal with carbon deposits or fuel deposits in 500 miles or less. Tires are the same way...race tires are thrown away at the end of the race, maybe even before then.

Or...it might because of where you live. The OP is from Ohio...a whole lot harder on everything under the car up there than in the south.

How hard of a repair is this? I've had a rattle in my 07 for awhile and just haven't gotten around to fixing it. Thanks for any advice you guys can give me!
