Hello I'm having trouble with my passenger window on my 2010 GS. When I close the door the window won't stop from indexing. It will stop when I hit the lock button on the fob, but if I don't it just keeps going up and down. The longest I have let it do this for is about a minute, afraid if I just let it go to see what happens it will burn something out.
Thanks for the reply, but no dice. I popped it off and it was pretty much spotless. I gave it a little cleaning just to make sure. Hooked it back up and still doing it.
I switched them to see if it would happen on the drivers side. It didn't, only does it on the passenger side. I took the battery out for 10 mins or so then put it back in and re indexed the windows. It works fine for the first two open and closes, third one the window goes up and down twice, forth time it won't stop. Did this four times with disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and the exact some thing happen every time, the thing goes haywire after the fourth close.
The next suspect would be the Passenger Door Module. I suggest you try to get a code scanner on it to see if there are any codes about it. But I don't know if it takes a dealer's Tech II scanner for this. Places like Autozone will do scans for no charge but they don't have Tech II capabilities.
The next issue is I don't think the module is serviced separately, you might end up having to buy a complete window regulator.
