Differential Question
I have a post in the wanted section (no luck yet) for a differential but I had a few questions that I wanted to bounce off you guys.
06 Z51 Manual
Stock diff is a 3.42
PN on the case is 12583198
Assuming its a 3.42 and for a manual case will any C6 year work?
Is there an updated PN?
Does Z51 even matter for the rear end?
Im getting a whine under load that im 93.25% sure is coming from the rear end...

I just replaced my transmission and differential in my 05 to the Z06 units and have a 6-speed and differential. It is a bolt in in your car, but want to sell them together and not break them up. Both in excellent shape and never abused.

I don't know specifically as to if another year diff will fit but, on the C5 a diff from any year will fit any C5. There were quirks with what fits between the 05 and 06 to 13 C6.
