I do have a rodent problem despite having two cats and traps set on either side of the car. I live in the woods and the car is stored in my barn which is impossible to seal up. My worst fear is having the wiring harnesses destroyed by mice, and it can happen rather quickly.
I put dryer sheets all over the interior of the car, although I've never found any actual evidence that they do any good. I also make cheesecloth bags with a half dozen mothballs in each one, and put a few in the engine compartment and one on top of each wheel. No hard evidence for that really working either.
Now and for the next month is when mice really head inside. Last year at this time I was averaging about one mouse per night in the traps. I hate those filthy things and I hate emptying traps but I have no choice.
So I came up with an interesting idea and after about a week it seems to be working, although it is just anecdotal evidence so far.
We all know how active rodents are at night, and how they avoid any kind of light. So I put a 60w LED on the wall on either side of the car and I haven't caught any mice since I did that. I just leave them on all the time.
We will see. I will report back in a week or two.
After about a week and a half, I caught one mouse last night. A far cry from one per night.

This is working well. I've only caught the one ^ mouse in three weeks. A year ago I was averaging one per night.

What about a quickjack? I'm sure that will solve your problems.

Last year I broke the necks of 5 mice in 4 months using Victory traps and my secret bait, tootsie roll. I continue with that as my big gun (and the obligatory dryer sheets) this winter and have added "mouse magic" and a misting of peppermint and spearmint oil and water in strategic places.
Word is mice no likey mint and my Sister-in-law claimed the garage smells delightful.

Posted today, 2/5/17: So it's been about 2 1/2 months and the only mouse I've caught during that time was ONE in late November, as posted above. I still have two traps out and the bait (peanut butter) is still there.
This sounds like a winner for future winter storage. The biggest concern I had when buying this car three years ago was mice destroying the wiring and/or interior during the winter months (although this was not a problem with a previous Vette and various motorcycles, but the electronics on the C6 rather scares me where it didn't with old vehicles.)
I do check the interior every week or so and no sign of any mice anywhere.

It's been so warm in my part of the country this year the mice don't even care about coming inside... The only time I see them is when it gets real cold into the single digits , or maybe we just have some real "bad azz mice" here......WW

What state you in? FWIW, last winter was the mildest here since 1982; the winter before was the coldest in my life -- but I didn't seen any difference in mouse activity.
