I was told by my wife, "no more Artic White", so I pulled the trigger on my first C6 in Victory Red.
It is in immaculate condition inside and out with the exception of one scratch along the driver's side near the ground (rocker panel?). I need to find something to color in the scratch, but not a big deal right now.
I'll try to get some pictures of it when the sun is up and after it's been cleaned.
Congrats and welcome to the forum. Nice car, I recommend Dr.Colorchip for your scratch. They match your car's paint color with it's VIN number. I had a bolt hit my hood while driving, big chip but that stuff conceals it pretty well. Enjoy the new ride!

Thanks for the info, I'll check it out. I didn't even see it when I was going over the car before I bought it. It's a pretty deep scratch about 6" long way on the bottom by the ground.
I could have gotten it cheaper if I would have seen it. Oh well, it's my daily driver now and I couldn't be happier.
HEH, there's a really funny story behind the color options I had.
We have two kids, which is why I sold my first car (98 arctic white / firethorn). Needed the money and no room for the family.
The search for a new car began with conversations about getting a Camaro SS. I've driven them, and they're nice, but just not what I truly wanted. My wife said that she would rather have a Corvette in the garage than a camaro, especially since we take her SUV when we go anywhere with the kids.
I wanted LeMans blue and Chrome Z06 rims - car is nowhere to be found out here.
My 2nd choice was Monterey Red with chrome Z06 rims - nowhere to be found
I mentioned Bronze , thinking it would be a compromise color - she said no.
She wanted Victory Red. We got Victory Red.
I'll say this about scratches, chips and nicks, if you drive it it's going to happen. Just get a really good touch up kit and live with them. The way I see it, I'll drive mine until there's just one too many scratches or chips and then have the whole car repainted and start the process over again, but to drive it daily and obsess over every little scratch (like I was doing) will bring the whole experience down. Drive her and enjoy the ride!

I have a similar mindset, I live in rural Oklahoma with farm trucks, semi traffic, and lots of dirt on roads. There's nothing I can do to prevent chips and rocks.
I'm more worried about water or moisture getting behind the paint and causing it to get bigger.
The first day I had my C5, a mustang backed into the door and cracked it. While it was finished at the body shop waiting for me to pick it up, someone keyed down the passenger side from the front headlight, down the fender, over the top of the mirror, along the door, along the rear fender, and back to the taillights.
I was able to get it buffed out since the clearcoat is so hard... but still.
There are some great scratch kits on the market, used them on my choppers occasionally.
They work great and even have clear coat "pen" applicators and fine grit sand paper.
You won't even see the scratch when your done. Take your time, follow directions and I think you'll be very happy.
Congratulations on the new C6 and welcome to the best forum... great bunch of people here!

Congrats on your C6! I have found that with my Corvettes, and having two kids of my own, that I get quality time with each one when we go for a drive. Something I would not get if it sat more than two people. Enjoy!

Nice car! Congrats. But I couldn't help but notice that you seem very youthful. How do you reach the pedals?
