Hello All
Hi - Checking in from NJ
I'm returning to the forum after 10 year without a corvette. I previously owned a 2001 Cyber Grey and 2006 Lemans Blue
Just purchased a 2005 C6 in Machine silver.
Has 10k original miles
Just wanted to introduce myself, as I'm sure I'll have some questions.
1st thing I need to do is replace these original tires. They are already showing signs of cracking

TThanks for the wqarm Welcome!!
quick questions
Run flats or No?
I think I need to reprogram my #1 Key fob as my seat recall isn't working properly. How risky is it to do this? I don't want to nuke both fobs and have nothing if I do this incorrectly.

Michelin Pilot Super Sports are the favorite on the Corvette if you can swing it. Probably a good idea to invest in new TPMS also.
Good luck and be safe!

Check out the Bridgestone Potenza S-04's. a non RF. Very well balanced all around tire.
Second to the Michelin's and at half the price.
Tire Rack as test on this category of tire's, Max Performance Summer.

Welcome. Wow, only 10k? That's phenomenal. Interesting that you went "down" from a 2006 to a 2005. My plan is to "upgrade" in about 10 years to a 2013 C6 or a 2014 C7 (depending on price and overall issues people have over the years) as I'd only ever go newer on a car, not older. But 10k miles is probably worth the effort.
Would you mind letting us know what range the cost was? I got my 2005 in late 2013 for about $26k and it had 56k miles but was in great shape though I've had to do some work on the bits that fail.
Congrats.

I sold my 2006 in 2010 and regretted it ever since.
I had my eye on this one for years since I knew it had very low miles.
Was bugging the owner since the new C7 came out, as he was contemplating an upgrade.
I picked it up for $20k

Always goot to see another Vette in Jersey. I agree with the others on the non RF tires. There are plenty of options on Tirerack, just pick one that fits your budget. I would pick up a small compressor/plug kit just for piece of mind, toss it in a rear cubby and forget about it. Depending on where you are, I know a good shop that can mount your tires, they put new tires on my painted GS wheels with no problems whatsoever.
