Went out to the garage this morning & when I saw the Vette, I realized it was 10 years ago that I signed the paperwork and drove it off the lot and it still puts a smile on my face every time I see and drive it. I also started thinking about all the fun we've had and memories that have been created with it; everything from meeting great people at car shows to road trips across our great Nation to fantastic places such as the Corvette Museum and Factory just to name two. I've also had a lot of fun making it my own, below are some pictures from the day a brought it home and what it looks like now. This is the longest I've owned any vehicle and after 90K miles I have to say it has been one of the most reliable and maintenance free I've owned as well. Here's to the next 10 years and 90K miles

Many don't get driven as much as they should...............

Also the personalization to make it "yours" all is tastefully done!

Congrats. Mine will be turning 10 in a few months. I once kept a bought new daily driver for 22 years and 52K but it was in far worse shape with far more maintenance at 10 years than this car with 68K already.

Time flies when you're having fun! It will be 9 years in March since I picked up mine at the museum. This car has been great on everything from gas mileage to performance! Except for the recalls, it's never seen a repair shop. I've done all my own maintenance from transmission fluids, differential fluids, clutch fluids, oil changes, etc. One of the easiest cars I've ever worked on! I'm currently at 57,000 miles.

Congratulations on your 10 year status with the C6! Many more to come.

Next Aug will be 10 years for me. Never have kept a car longer than 2 to 3 years before this one.

Still puts a smile on my face after 178,000 miles.

Your story is my story. My '13 GS vert is averaging 9,000 miles driven per year, so after ten years I will have 90,000 on the odometer. I have the same feelings as you about the car, the people I've met and the places we've gone. No other automobile has offered the same experience. The bottom line is that other cars offer you a way to an event and back home afterwards, but driving to and fro in the Corvette is an experience in itself and adds to the fun.

Congrats on keeping your C6 in great condition, despite the mileage.
I too have a 2006 with just over 85K miles on the clock. It has been on many memorable road trips, and still looks fantastic.
Hoping it will travel at least another 85K miles on many more road trips.

I've got 103k miles on my 2008 c6 m6 black Z51 that I bought new 9 years ago from lerbeck.

My two previous c5 s included a z51 99 and a modded Z06..

I think the key to utter reliability is keeping the car mostly stock...meaning not opening up the motor..

I can't tell you how much joy this c6 has given me...it's been so good and still looks brand new...so I just can't bring myself to sell it..

I'm thinking either a c7 z06 or a mid engine c8 will eventually replace my wonderful c6..

I had more visceral driving experience in.my modded c5 z06 but the constant headaches after about 50k miles with the modifications in place...weren't worth it and I wouldn't do that again...

The c6 has been great..

So far I've done bilstein shocks, rotors and pads, spark plugs and wires at around 50k miles just because I didn't want to wait ...

As I rolled over 100k miles this past summer..I did the spark plugs and wires again...

I changed the rear diff fluid at the same time just because it was in the book...

I did the water pump and replaced the plastic radiator a few years ago because the radiator had a split up top on it...

I did the d shaped dsv steering wheel....and a MGW short throw shifter about 5 years back..I added some soft leather touch points in the interior...

Of course I did the COW tune and basic pcm tune with an air intake and that really woke the car up about 5 years ago..and I like the npp exhaust that came in the car from the factory..

I did therear support tray in the hatch area and the sound Matt ..

I also love the $40 fix for the drivers seat that I got from down south corvettes...I added some additional foam at the same time and the drivers seat is much better...I highly recommend the forty dollar seat fix ...(the foam gets cut by the seat springs and the seat bottom sags but the kit solves that issue simply)

I added 19/20 black z51 oem rims this past year and I love the Michelin non runflats Nd their ride and handling.

This November I slapped on the pirrelli zerosotto snow tires on grey oem 18/19 inch rims as I did last year...


LS motors love cold air of the winter...

Driving a corvette year round gives me a big smile...

Mine is eleven-plus years and 230,000 miles, and still looks great.

Glad to hear there are many other's out there that have broken or are close to the 10 year mark and are still having as much fun as I am. A lot of great looking Vettes for being 10+ years old and having 90K+ miles on them. May the roads you travel continue to lead you on new & exciting adventures
