I ended up going with Michelin Pilot Super Sport non run flats since they are discontinuing the Bridgestone RE-11 tires.
Mine had the Michelin Pilot Super Sport non run flats on it when I got it used about a month ago. I have no idea how many miles are on them but I've put about 600 miles on it and they ride and perform great so far. I am a little worried about having a flat with no spare so I bought a can of fix a flat and I keep it and one of those small 12V inflaters in the storage compartment.
My 2000 Vette is used by my wife. City driving. Need new tires. Are non run flats that much quiter than run flats?
To partially answer your question, Cooper Zeon RS3 in the GS sizes are louder than Bridgestone Pole Position and Michelin runflats, but comparable to the original Goodyear runflats.
Here in Florida, the road surface makes a huge difference too. You will go from a loud roar (even in a Mercedes or BMW) to very quiet several times while traveling. Same with the vette, with any tire I've been exposed to, since 2008.

I went from the Stock GY run flats to Michelin Pilot Super Sports Run Flats ... and it was like night and day, they are much quieter , are they louder than a non run flat ...? maybe, but I like the security of having run flats plus they flat out handle great ....
Had non run flats on my 2000 and carrying a small compressor , flat repair kit etc gets old , plus the thought of laying in the street trying to plug a flat does not appeal to me .
Now I know that the chances of getting a flat are slim, I have not had a flat in 30 years but it only takes one time .....which just happened to me , got a large nail in my brand new Run Flats ... drove over to Discount Tire and had it fixed properly and was on my way in less than 30 minutes

I think that they are much quieter. I have had two Z06 models and they come with non run flats! They have a 12V pump and a can of fix a flat. I never had a flat with them but I always wondered what the fix a flat would do to the air pressure sender? I also had a 01 Convertible with run flats. I ran over a piece of shot rock and it put a huge hole in my tire. I had a warning on the info center and the car went in to limp mode. I drove it home and the next day to a tire shop where they replaced the tire! So I guess that it is entirely up to you if you want to chance a flat?
I have them on my STS-V and they spin (very) easily, much more easily than the Firestone WO RFs on the Vette. Maybe the supercharger has something to do with it... They are quieter but so is the Caddy. Hard to compare being on different cars.

I have/had two Z06's. They both came with run flat tires

I'm in Alaska so run flats are a must IMO. A buddy who runs his Porsche in my rear view mirror had to stop and put in 2 cans each after an encounter with road debris. Ya, I waited for him.
I noticed a few of you talk about having a can of fix a flat! I carry a small pump and some plugs. I have been told not to use fix a flat because it will destroy the sensor and mess the rim up. Any truth to that from those with experience?

I would never use it, can't imagine that slop flopping around in my tire and yes there are several posts about how it clogs up the sensor ....
Nobody ever mentions how less responsive the PSS are vs a run flat as far as turning. The PSS, and probably most non-runflats have a much more flexible sidewall, so my immediate impression is that they feel mushy compared to a runflat. PSS vs Firestone WO runflat in my case.
Yes they are quieter, but they feel much less responsive to steering input.

I am not sure I understand your statement .
My Michelin PSS are runflats , they do come in both versions ...
The way your statement is written it looks line you are saying that the PSS only come in non runflats??
I went from Michelin run-flat tires to the Pilot Super Sport non run flat tires, I will never go back, soooooooo much quieter and more comfortable to ride in now.

Do you think there's that big of a difference between the two? I have run the Michelin PS2 in a ZP and also the Pliot Super Sport also in a ZP. Although my car is Z51, and is tight, I have no experience with NON ZP tires. But the car rides on rails with the ZP's. As far as noisy, can't tell over exhaust tone or the top down.

You do realize that you will ruin your tire pressure sensor if you use fix a flat to repair a flat tire?
