Default Homelink buttons

I found the RPO codes thanks to Forum members. I see that I have the home link system. The manual shows the 3 buttons and lights but not the location. Where are the buttons located on a 2009 vert? Thanks

I found the buttons just to dark in the garage and they blend in with the visor. Thats my story and sticking to it LOL.

3 buttons with one light is Homelink, 3 buttons and three lights is Car2U by Lear.

When I got my Corvette the receiver wouldn't acknowledge the transmitter. I had to buy a module ~$35 for it to work. Now I have one add on module for the 05 Ford PU and one for the Corvette. The 2014 Flex worked with the door opener receiver. Hopefully I won't have to get more for cars down the road. Running out of room to piggyback them up there..!!

Edit.... When I got mine to work I cleared all codes and in fact used the center button. Also required 2 people to press the buttons at the same time! Not one then the other. Hope this helps

My 07 didn't work on the first button, but I tried the second button and worked fine, I believe it's an old Lifmaster.

Thanks

I couldn't program my '07 at first (have the homelink); had to erase all buttons. Then it was a two-step process - - I had to program it to recognize the original transmitter for my newer Liftmaster opener, then program the homelink button to the opener. It works great now.

Exactly right...first step is to teach the frequency and protocol from the remote, then the second step is to match the actual door opener, using the learn button on the motor..

I just purchased a 2006 Z06 and I've been trying to get the homelink to program, It is a brand new garage door opener and I read that it might not be compatible with older homelink units, do you know a part number of what you purchased or where?

You need to look up the specific opener you have. Dirrerent openers require different repeaters "modules" for them to work with the specific type of built in car opener. In my case it was much easier and cheaper to just go buy additional remote openers.

I did go to homelink.com and entered my vehicle and opener (Craftsman 55918) It shows the instructions on how to so I thought it would have been compatible, but I can not get past step 3 where you put the original remote next to the homelink then hold both buttons it's supposed to start flashing slow and then rapidly, well it never flashes rapidly.

I don't mind purchasing an additional repeater, I'd like to be able to use the home link if possible, I'm just not sure where to buy a repeater?

Just moved into new house with my '05. Unable to get Genie remote and home link to sync. Had no problem connecting to new Genie unit last year at old house. ?????

Well I found out I have a new opener with the Security+ 2.0, so I think I'm going to try this repeater/bridge from homelink:

I didn't have any problem programming my garage door opener, just the one on our community gate opener with my '08.

Homelink and LearCar2You Do Not speak to each other very well. My 06 Z has Homelink, my new garage door opener is Lear. Sometimes, it takes many pushes of the visor buttons to get the door to go down when leaving, sometimes, it just won't work. I did not buy a separate module, maybe that's what I need.

Yes...most of the 2.0's need the repeater. I had no problem programming a new "clip on the visor" remote at a fraction of the cost I would have needed to buy the 2 different type of repeaters i would have needed, lol.
Hope you get it working.

Most of the newer openers have MyQ technology which means that are able to be controlled with your phone. Many of then come with the gateway in the opener and others you have to add the gate way for the wifi signal. Install the app on your phone and use it.

I just prefer to use the clip on control that came with the opener.

For those of you asking where to get the repeater module, I got both repeaters from Liftmasteer

For the Homelink repeater:

https://www.liftmaster.com/for-homes...elinkbridgekit

For the Lear, Car2U repeater:

https://www.liftmaster.com/for-homes...del-car2u-rptr

They may be available via Amazon as well.
