Default climate control

Hi all, hope everyone had a nice Christmas! I haven't posted anything in awhile, cuz my Vette has never really had any issues-until today. It was parked for a couple of weeks, started right up, but the outside temp showing on the climate control panel is stuck on 55F, even though in sunny So. Ca. its over 70. anyone have a fix for this? Thanks!

Mine has done that a couple of times, but corrected itself after 10 minutes or so of driving.

Had the same issue with my C6. After a couple of drive cycles, it cleared itself up. Give it a day or 2 and hopefully you'll have the same result.

You can also manually reset the sensor by pressing Rear Defrost, Front Defog and Fan Speed Increase button at the same time. That will force an update of the temperature display.

That's not unusual. It is common to sometimes take several minutes to adjust to the actual outside temp. I've noticed it with my 2016 Silverado a few times too. I don't worry about it. It eventually catches up.

I actually had this issue on my 08 C6. One day it read 32' and stayed there Throughout the day no change, 2 days later tried the 3 finger salute. Which did make the display go to day time temperature display. But only to have it revert back to being stuck the next day. So while the outside temp was barely 60 I manually turned on the AC and max cold. I took some time but the system went to vent for a bit then onto full AC. Has been working ever since.

this has been happening in my car since the day I bought it ten years ago, my other two GM cars never experience this "issue"
