I will try to keep this short, My C6 currently has stock x-pipe with no cats, and straight pipes at the end. A friend of mine is selling his car so theres now a chance that I can get his Corsa Double X quite cheap
My question here is does it worth it and how it will change the characteristics of my exhaust note. I know it wont effect much in the terms of performance. I looked all over youtube but couldnt find a decent video of a c6 with double x pipe. Actually i would love to hear my idle a little bit more high pitched.
Heres two vids that showing how my current setup sounds
Thanks for the reply. Yes only the double x, no mufflers. Im just curious about the effect. I like the V8 rumble i just want a higher pitched idle. Since this is my daily. Performance gains/losses are not so important at the moment
IMHO,
It's to much work for zero gain. Are u even sure that the mid pipes are even the same size?.
The same length, the fronts meet at the proper place?

I know that Corsa is slightly larger (3.00) compared to the oem x pipe (2.75) but since my rear end pipes has 3.00 diameter and clamps like the oem mufflers. I dont think ill have problems fitting corsa in. Actually I read few topics in the forum that says you can fit corsa right in to oem system. But i still dont have any idea that how it will affect my sound or is it gonna worth my 200 bucks
The inside diameter of the factory H pipe is actually quite smaller than the outside diameter would lead you to believe. I had a Corsa X pipe installed at Bloomington Gold one year and Corsa had a factory H pipe cut in half for display purposes.
Having said that, with you cats and mufflers already gone there would be no noticeable difference in sound.
