They're made to drive, right?
Yes. So Mrs. Procycle and I are taking a 2 week road trip from cold, wet Oregon to sunny and almost warm Arizona and Southern California.
We timed our leaving just right to sail over the Siskiyou Pass under glorious sunshine and a blue sky. I hope it's half that good on our way back. We jetted down I-5 and I-40 and didn't waste any time - not even for photos until we found ourselves on Route 66 in Needles.
We made another quick stop at the London Bridge in Lake Havasu City. For those who don't know, this is the real London Bridge that was moved block by block to Arizona in 1968-1971.
Looking forward to following another of your well documented road trips.
When you get back we need to talk about Bisbee/Sierra Vista/Tombstone.
This trip won't get as much detail posted as others. Spending a few days visiting my 98 year old mom. Then a few more in SoCal chatting with vendors that I do business with (this IS a business trip doncha know ). Any good stuff that comes up comes up I will post it.
Bisbee, AZ! Brewery Gulch.. The Copper Queen... Castle Rock Inn...
I look forward to chatting about that area!

If you're in the Phoenix area on any Tuesday, our Geezer group (mostly Vette guys and a couple Mopar ones) welcome visitors at the Black Bear Diner (6039 W. Bell Rd, Glendale) for a 1:00 PM lunch and chat.
Thanks for the invite. Unfortunately, we'll be pointing the C6 west first thing Tuesday morning.
I will keep it in mind for the next time I get down here.

Printing this formal invitation and will (try) to find you some Tuesday this winter.

My advice at Black Bear is that when they ask if you want the full or the half order of biscuits and gravy...go half.
Please don't try driving to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon this time of the year like the couple who got stuck on the closed roads last week. She ended up walking 26 miles in the snow to find help, plus drinking her urine and eating twigs to survive.
So we spent the last three days hanging out with my 98 year old mother. She's a kick. Oldest person in her retirement complex and maybe the liveliest one too. Behind her previous apartments there is a small mountain. She used to hike up to the top every morning to watch the sun rise. The daily hikes stopped 3 years ago but she's still game to go up when there's somebody to keep her steady.
The highlight for me was taking her up the mountain again today. She's a little wobbly but I held her hand all the way. It's at least a couple hundred feet of elevation.

How long does your group hang out there. I'm in Phoenix on the 17th but my flight arrives at 1:30.
