Battery Cable Clamp Nut
I went to install my new NOCO G35400 battery charger, and took off the nuts for the positive and negative cables. Of course I proceeded to lose one, and cannot find it anywhere. The GM dealer does not show this nut. It has a tapered shoulder to it and pulls the cable ends tight to the battery terminal. Any idea where I can find one?

Somebody has posted an answer to this before, I don't remember but I'm sure they'll chime in.
What I don't get is why people take the nuts completely off . . . ? All you have to do is loosen them a couple of turns.

I was able to purchase two new factory nuts and the hold down bar for my 2008 at my local GM dealer no problem; they had the order them.
Oops...different nut.

OP, were you trying to connect the O-rings to the battery clamp? If so, put the O-ring on top of the cone shaped nut, then put a regular nut on top of that. I believe they are M6 Hex Nuts.
If you put the O-ring under the cone shaped nut, you'll be defeating the purpose of that cone shaped nut.

In addition to GM, battery clamp bolts and nuts can be had at most common auto parts stores. (NAPA, AutoZone, etc) They can also be ordered from places like McMaster-Carr, Grainger or Farm and Fleet.

The nuts are a cone shape, which pulls the clamp tight when the cone is tightened against the clamp. Unfortunately a normal nut will not work for this.

Generally, they are just junk clamps. Stamped sheet metal is not the way to make a good battery clamp, just a cheap one. This is one reason that people have trouble jump starting a Vette...the cable clamps can't get a good bite on the sheet metal connectors...
