I have 2008 in the heated garage for the winter. Hooked up to a Cetek and covered.
Just wondering, parking brake on or off??
Normally I set it in reverse-manual- with the P brake on.

Off. No sense in having that engaged all winter. Just put chocks around your tires. Works for me.
Ok.
I thought that would be best. But just wanted to be sure.
I will leave it in reverse. At this time it is on the lift while I attempt to clean the rims and a bit underneath.
3 or 4 of the responses above say to chock one of the wheels? Why? A garage floor is very near level. I see no need for a chock ... never have had a car to move while sitting in the garage. Why not just put it in P for a automatic or R for a manual?
Park Brake half way in my storage ... and in what ever gear. I also turn the lights off and close the doors and leave the windows down. put a towels on the dash to reduce dust build up. Golf clubs are stored in the back with the hatch down but not latched. sometimes I even put extra air in the tires.. and then remove the collision and liability insurance leaving the comprehensive on. call it good..
Never apply parking brake on any car in the garage.
I put 40 psi is each tire and park with a piece of carpet under each tire.
Make sure all windows are closed, put a coat of wax on it, have a full tank of gas, connect the battery tender and put on the cover, reduce the insurance by 60%.
