Couldn't resist posting this:
The man holding his granddaughter is the son of the man posing by the 1918 Chevrolet.
The little girl being held by her grandfather is the mother of the young man posing in my 2006 Chevrolet.
FWIW.

I tell you, our Fathers and Grandfathers generations were some of the greatest generations this country has ever seen. The amount of change they seen and tough times they saw and endured (even more so with your family of color I would easily guess) to get us to where we are today.
IMO, the young people of today don't give the men and women of those generations the respect they deserve. They were a tough bunch of folks indeed!
Again, thanks for sharing those with us!

Thank you, great pictures! I too am fascinated by older pictures. Things don't really change much, just the time.

Yes, that's my dad and my daughter together in 1982. And I couldn't agree more...the greatest generation for sure.

A very enjoyable thread!
I took my 81 year old Dad for a ride in my Corvette when I first bought it. He wasn't really in to fast cars and didn't like being so close to the ground. He was a Cadillac guy. He just wanted to look cool while he was driving. I should have bought a CTS-V. He would have really been shocked.
