High beam/low beam ballast question (dealing with aftermarket ballasts)
Hello all,
On a stock set-up, does the OEM ballast control BOTH the low beam and high beam lights? I ask this because I recently purchased a Morimoto XB Ballast; it's currently on the way here.
I think I made a mistake in assuming that the OEM ballast controls only the low beam, and therefore when I install the aftermarket ballast which has wires going to the low beam bulb only, I assume my high beams will stop working? Please tell me if this is correct. Thanks in advance!

OEM low beams are D1S HID's.
These lamps have the igniter in the base (the little square box) and therefore require a somewhat "non-standard" ballast.
If you bought aftermarket ballasts that are meant to operate D1S lamps, you're OK.
If not..........................
