2000 miles is nothing for this car (only caveat is that I do usually pop an Advil at lunch) - my longest trip was 7200 miles. The best thing is that when people see you approaching in their rear view mirror they usually get out of your way

Loving the feedback! So- Mom is 68, broke her tail bone a few years back- shes getting a little heavier these days- shes also on oxygen (why we cant fly to FL)
oh - and its a z51 car... 😐
as long as the roads aren't too bad, weather doesn't go to ****, we should be fine. she had a recent road trip when she came up to MD that went ok...

Drop the tire pressure a couple psi to give mom a better ride and give her some 20 minute breaks every couple of hours for potty stops, fuel, and food.
She has to be happy to have one son who'll take her to visit another son. Very cool.

Have taken mine on many long trips over the years, one of the longest was from here (Nevada) to the NCM with a stop off in Tennessee to visit my daughter, just under 4K miles round trip.

A couple years ago my wife started having back issues, so she started using a 3" thick foam seat cushion when we take either the Vette or Camaro on long trips and she says it helps a lot; plus we make a few more stops along the way then we used too

I'm a retired guy, 72 years old. I purchased my GS last March in south Florida, then by myself drove the car 2,200 miles to my home in AZ in 2.5 days. This was driving only during daylight hours and only exceeding speed limits when passing cars. So on behalf of retired guys everywhere, you owe us an apology!

The C6 is the most comfortable highway car I've ever driven . . . take it on your trip to FL, you won't regret it!

about the comfort comment.
Age 75 (retired) and I still do an occasional Interstate Hwy destination trip when there are time concerns. I prefer the more leisurely journeys on the backroads to enjoy the real USA we live in, like Key West to Phoenix in 13 days.
BTW, speed limits are merely suggestions to avoid monetary inconveniences.

IIWY, I wouldn't hesitate to drive the Vette. What's the point of having a car if you are afraid to drive it? I once saw an article about a MOPAR for sale with 26 original miles on it which made me wonder how many times the original owner backed it out of the garage to wash it in the forty some years he owned it. I have a 1969 Mustang convertible and in 2009 my late wife and I took it from the Bay Area to Birmingham, AL for the forty fifth anniversary of the Mustang. This car has piled up lots of trophies and lots of miles since I bought and restored it in 1998. The car had 87K on the clock then and it has about 145K now. The round trip to Birmingham was over 5,200 miles. I can't tell you how proud I was of my old bus.

Drive it, we did a 6000 mile trip this past August from Toronto to Las Vegas and visited as many national parks as we could. Great cruising car and was amazed at the mileage we got as well as the comfort on some 6-800 mile days and 8 to 10 hours in the car. Can hardly wait until next years trip to Memphis, Nashville and where ever else we end up.
