Automatic Transmission help

Hi All

Need some help deciphering the C5 / C6 six speed Automatic transmissions for my 54 build with C5/6 suspension, torque tube, transmission and differential in a SRIII chassis.

What I am looking for is the paddle shift version which I believe is the 7CYA.....Yes or No ?

Does the 6CYA have the paddle shift ?

Where does the 1CYA fit into the picture ????

Lastly, does any one know will a C6 6speed automatic transmission bolt to a C5 torque tube and differential?

Thanks for your help as my build is made just that bit harder as I am in Australia with little or no knowledge here on this subject.

Don't know all the answers but 2006 C6 and up are 6 speeds. 6L80. Everything before that is a 4 speed auto.

Did you ask Mike about the c6 to c5 tube?

I now have a C5 tube and are tring to find out if there were any chages between C5 &C6 transmission bolt patterns.

I hope you understand the C6 transmission is totally electronically controlled and the paddle switches use resistors to apply different currents on a single input. I have the wiring diagrams if you need them.
