The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

I got one of these a couple of weeks ago and I cannot believe how much it improve the fun factor. It is a very simple installation, about 15 minutes top, the lowest cost mod, right at $170 plus $7 shipping and it feels like you added 50 hp! It DOES NOT add any hp but it help the driver maximize the power that you have. I truly believe that the car is quicker.
I was very skeptical, read a lot of post and 99% rave about it. I find out that they offer a 30 days satisfaction guarantee so I figure that if it wasn't that great I can send it back and get my money. Nothing to loose, well, was I surprised! This thing is freaking amazing.
A friend of mine with a 2008 convertible help me install it and we went for a short ride. He ordered one as soon as we got back! He tracks his car regularly and have consistent times, he'll be able to tell if it does makes the car quicker the next time he goes to the track, we both believe it will but even if it doesn't it is well worth the price. It is a totally different car, a much better and responsive car for sure.
Good luck and keep us posted of your decisions and experiences. As most people here, we all start somewhere but that is not where we finish. I just ordered headers and X pipes.
Depends on your level of risk concerning maintenance and future wear and tear. Tires, valve train wear and fear of blowing the motor.
I love my gear change to 4:10. This might not be best when adding F/I though. So have a end game plan first.
But for a fun factor and a better rounded Corvette with the MN6 the gears do the trick.
I have said this many times, just how much power do you need? Realistically the car in stock form can do whatever is needed on the street, passing and merging.
Always going be something quicker. After spending big money on power and getting blown off either in a light to light run of on paper how you going to feel?
The gears for a guy just wanting better response with the MN6 and more fun shifting the 4:10's is cool. The stock ration is just to long really in for fuel quota.
Just how many times are you going to go 189 mph or even 150 mph. With the 4:10's The later is still possible and so much more fun just around town.
If you can run long tubes legally it is another good mod with a tune I saw 47rwhp gain.
Federal law does restrict any change to the emissions system but more of a problem are State and County laws.

Let me begin by saying that this is in no way meant to be insulting, but in my opinion, the thing most Corvette owners could benefit from to really increase the fun factor in driving, is an investment in some professional driver training. The cars stock performance level is already higher than the average drivers abilities. Some training on how to drive quickly and safely and learning to be able to find the cars stock performance limits can really be an eye opener. Plus, if you practice what you learn, you'll carry those skills with you no matter what car you're driving.
Just my opinion of course.
