Door Problem / Will not open
Appreciate any help with this!!
Car is a 2009
Driver side door will not open, figured it was the door pad having bad contact problems and was at dealer getting something for my 89 and bought the new pad to replace old one. I got home and put the new one in and the door will still not open like normal, has anyone else had this problem where you replace or clean the original one and it still does not fix the problem? What do I need to look for since it will only open via the latch on the floor??

Could be a bad Driver Door Module. It is somewhat common but not a frequent problem.
You will probably have to find a dealer or independent mechanic who can troubleshoot the problem correctly rather than throw parts at it, or not.

I am used to my simple 89 that is simple to work on for the most part, damn electronics on the new cars....

Sounds like the door latch assembly motor has gone out. That's what happened to me. If the electronic door button on the interior doesn't work, but the emergency door release latch works(at the bottom of the door or the one located in the trunk). Most likely it's it's the door latch assembly

This car is my daily driver since may with 82,xxx miles on it so after the mass air sensor, the new radiator and now this all in the last 6 weeks, they seem to run in three's only I hope??
