Default New PSS 4S for our Vettes!!

I decided to check the Michelin site today to see if they had and update on the PSS 4 tires. And the update looks very good for sizes that we like! I see sizes for standard corvette and for Zr1 and 19" 20" setup for GS and Z06. They are all coming soon but good to see sizes. And I dont see anything about them being run flat. Cant wait for these to be released Now the question is WHEN??
But I dont see a size for the 18 front Z wheel

Call TireRack. They probably know whether or not it's available in runflat or non-runflat, and when you can order a set.

From what I saw on Michelin's website they DO NOT come in OEM Zr1 sizes.

These are surprising responses to me. I didn't realize the there are actually people that want run flats!

And yes you are correct they are not "OEM" ZR1 sizes. You would have to step up your rear from a 335 to a 345. That's well within spec so it wont mess with any of the handling systems.

I personally didnt buy mich tires because they were RF. in the PSS

PSS 4 does not come in a 285/30 either for the front. The 345 size tire has incorrect aspect ratio;345/30 vs 345/25 OEM or it would fit.

Are these going to be replacement tires for the PSS? What's the advantage of the PS4's over the PSS tires?

Edit: Answered my own question. Yes these will replace the PSS. I read the reviews on the obove link....impressive!

The reason I called Michelin was to see if they were going to stop manufacturing PSS's. The rep said they currently plan on making both. I'm sure at some point they will discontinue PSS/ZP but there isn't a date set.

I've been burned twice with Michelin discontinuing models (XGT+ and XGT-Z) and was stuck 3 tires <2500mi with the 4th having a sidewall puncture and no replacement to be found in the country.

I'll probably go with the new non ZP tire and carry a small tire repair kit rather than use my AAA.

Yea I'm due for tires this Spring but don't want to buy a set of PSS if they will be discontinued. Hopefully these 4s's will be available this April!
