Added a custom Tunnel Plate (pics) to Z06
A friend of mine made me a custom tunnel plate. Used a CNC machine to have the holes matched up perfectly. Much thicker than stock.
Then I sent it off to have Jet-hot coated. Will make a nice heat barrier and stiffen up the car a little bit. I know, I know, probably a little overkill to have a design on the tunnel plate that is hidden under the car, but if you have the capabilities, why not. Finished off with some button head screws.
Came out great. Should reduce the heat coming up from exhaust- Jethot coating is some amazing stuff. Enjoy.

Very nicely done!
Do you or your friend have any thoughts of many producing additional tunnel plates? Even without logos, just a thought. Should be some interest in them on the forum?

Looks great! Just added the TPS Motorsports plate w/ heat shield to mine last week. Have not had time to tell how much heat it deflects, but immediately noticed the difference in the ride and chassis stiffness. I like it for that alone so if it keeps heat out, even better.

Well I checked it out last night. Usually my center console gets pretty hot to where I wont leave my phone in there. I have some change in there and tire pressure gauges that are metal that get pretty darn hot.
Went driving last nite, and was a huge difference. Luke warm to the touch. I definitely notice the difference.

Very well done indeed! But I too wonder about the weight penalty, looks as if you went at lest double thickness? If your not concerned with the weight then that's one hell of a nice tunnel plate
