Now they are $179 plus sales tax in your state. One disk. Released Jan 2016, so a year old. Ver 10.00

Map update only. The best price from gmnavdisc.navigation. You can buy an offshore copy for $100, but I chose not to. GM had a $20 discount, but it expired a month ago. $179 does not include $3 shipping and sales tax if it's shipped to any state with a GM dealer. You figure out which ones that might be.

I asked the GM nav guy and he said that they had received no notification of this being the last update. He had also received no notice of a future release.

I still have a 2007 disc in my '05, and only twice in 11 years has it not been able to find an address.
Save your money, and don't update.

The GPS would complain that the Corvette isn't a boat and kept telling you to make a U-Turn. So while you could just ignore it until you reached the other side and reached an existing highway, it got old after a couple years. That's why I broke down and bought a new disk. I bought new Nav updates for my two Fords also.
Life is too short to mentally have to plot a route the Nav system was supposed to do for you. If you have one, you want it to do what you paid for it to do. If you live someplace where time stood still and there is no expansion of the road infrastructure, then you probably could get away with using an old disk.

I had the disk from 2011, but it got old trying to plot a route into Missouri where you knew there was a new highways, including the new I-70 bridge built in 2015 that went across the Mississippi River, but the old disk said it wasn't there. You always got routed some crazy long way when you knew there was a shorter way to get to your destination.

On version 10-2016 update, this new highway was on the DVD.
So, it is best to get the latest version. I would say that any highway or road finished in late 2014 would be on the latest version 10 (2016).
The POI's have also added many new hotel and restaurant brands that were not on the previous versions.
I always make a copy from the original to use, just to be sure that the original DVD does not get damaged.

Just ordered my update (Ver. 10 - 2016). While we have a pair of Garmin GPS units and one would work just fine in our '07 Vette, I must admit it is nice to have the directional prompts show up on the HUD. Also, I will use a copy of the disc in the car and save the original as backup.

What do you need an update for? Almost without exception, even roads that have been worked on are in the same location, and POI surely hasn't changed much. If you want it just to have it, do it, but if you think you are going to gain something more than you currently have, save your money. Just my opinion...

That is what I do. I have updated a few times and when I buy the new one I sell the last one on eBay and so far the average cost to update after selling the prior disc has averaged around $25.

Anyone ever purchase from this site? It states some disks are new, others are used but they have been tested.

I think I'll put my ver 9.00 on ebay and recoup some of the cost.
