05 vette start failure
My 05 with 15000 km. starts then shuts down after a few seconds was told it may be main computer and must be changed by dealer . Any help would be great . tks. The car starts , tack and speedo goes all the way to top then drops back to 0 then it shuts down, friend checked the codes 90% of codes on the car showed red he said with so many codes it must be the main computer.... car is in storage now and code list #'s are in it. p.s. manual trans

and unfortunately I do not believe a code would be set for low pressure.

There are many things it could be but I am dubious with the computer diagnosis. Crank or cam position sensors to come to mind. Fuel pump not delivering enough fuel - a pressure gauge on the fuel rail would rule that out. How old is the battery? Is the gas cap on correctly?

You need to check the fuel pressure first, then hook the car up to a Tech 2 scanner to see where the problem is originating from.. If you can find a independent shop, or an individual with a Tech 2 that knows how to use it, you could save a bunch of money...It's almost impossible to trouble shoot these cars without a Tech 2 scanner. At the very least the scanner will point you in the right direction to help find the problem...WW
