Default Tech 2 (TIS-2000) , what is it??

I just got my Tech 2 scanner a few days ago and I noticed I have 3 disks labeled TIS 2000 on them.. What are these disks used for, and what cars do they work on? Thanks... WW

here is a link to some info. on the TIS 2000........... it appears that it is the software required to utilize the Tech II on vehicles AFTER the 2007MY for re-programming ECM's.........

MANY other links explaining it and how to get it to function properly using Google

WW7 , So far I have not needed to use the disks on my 2011 , thank god because you need a windows XP machine , I can get into the ECM , BCM , ANTI LOCK brakes ETC ETC parameters and change them ( be careful while you are learning ....... )

I have already been into my ECM chasing a random miss

Below is a snap shot of my BCM configuration file , if you go one menu back from this screen you can modify the setup and turn things on and off ( look at my HUD setting )

Thanks Dave, I knew that you had one of this version of the Tech II and hoped you would have chimed in to assist............

Welcome ... I love my Knock Off TECH II , don't use it much but its invaluable when you do need it

Had a random miss I was chasing , was easy to find using it , brings back the old days of putting my SS Chevelle on the OLD "SNAP ON" oscilloscope
