I am posting this comment to say that Chevrolet did a fantastic job designing/building the C6 Corvette. I just came back from a ride through my local park & had a smile on my face the entire time, I still enjoy driving my car! This is a thumbs up post which is usually different from the posts we normally read about the various problems associated with our cars, thank you Chevrolet
That is why mine is my daily driver! Life is too short to drive something else . . .
I never understand people getting awesome cars and not driving them. Saving the miles for the next owner? Sunday drivers only? WTF? I can see if you are a race track enthusiast and your car is modified to the extent that you can't drive it on the street, but then you can have a second Corvette with less mods to drive every day. I've daily drive Corvettes for a very long time and cannot see me driving anything else. I experimented with a Viper (1st generation)once, as much fun as it was I couldn't make it my dd so went back to a Corvette. It is like having a hot wife/girlfriend and not _____ her . . . I don't get it. I can understand having 2, one for Monday-Friday and another one for the weekends but if I can have only one, I am driving the sh_t out of it!
I daily drive my C6 as much as the weather will allow, unfortunately living in MD, that could mean 1 year I drive it 7-8 months out of the year if we have a bad late fall and winter or it could mean it gets driven closer to 10 months out of the year if we get a mild, snow free winter
