Weird Tranny issue

Default Weird Tranny issue

Hey guys,

I have an 05 C6 with about 34k under warranty at the time. I mentioned to the service rep about first gear locking out on me and reverse giving me an issue. So they confirmed the issue with first gear and tore down the whole trans. They also replaced all the Sycnros and some other stuff which was really nice.

Fast forward to today when I actually picked up the car because all of the lovely snow we had. So I drove off the lot go from 1-2-3rd and when I hit third it grinded into it a little bit, mmmm.. so I proceed to keep driving to see maybe it was an one off thing..Keept happening. I take it the high way down shift from 3rd into 2nd smooth as butter, then get on it hard and upshift into 3rd smooth as butter wth? All day long it worked perfect like that. Once I'm at a stop light and going from 1st 2-3rd it would do it most of the time, grind in 3rd. I have no idea what it could be all the Syncros are new lol

it seems when I go into first then proceed like that it does it. If your in 3rd already and downshift into 2nd and back into 3rd there's zero issues so far. I can't wrap my head around it. As if it has something to do with first gear? If linkage was funny would that cause it or it would cause it no matter what gear you're in? Any idea guys? It's at he dealership again right now, I'm just trying to see maybe some ideas.

Already did what I would've done: take it back.
Something wasn't done right if there's still grinding in any gear, especially if all synchs are new.

They're going to have to drop rear again and open it up, see where they goofed up & make it right.
It's a very good thing you've a service contract.

yeah, it's just weird how it only happens from what I've seen so far going from 1-2-3..ugh...
