Default Red Interior differences...

I'm buying an '09 LT3 with just under 19K miles. One of the puzzling things to me is that various components of the interior seem to be red in various C6 years...or maybe its just different trim levels?
The car I'm buying has red seats and door cards/handles, but black console cover and rear console. I've see some other examples that have red console covers and surround and am curious about why there are differences?
I like the look of red on the console surround and cover. Cover is easy to replace, but not sure if its possible/practical to replace the rear lower console with red?
Can anyone help me understand the differences?
I'm attaching a pic of my car's interior, and one from an '08 model with red on the console lid and lower surround.
Thanks, Joe

I don't recall any 3LT car that the console didn't match the interior color. The picture you show with the red console is either a 2005 or 2006 since it has the lock on the console flip cover and the tombstone on the front console.
I would suggest you go on auto trader or other car advertising site and look at any C6 Corvettes with the red interior to compare them.
I found out that there are three different door panels for the C6, but, I can't find out what the differences are. Just one of the mysteries of GM. Good luck.

Thanks. I took your advice. Every '09 on Autotrader with red interior is like mine...black console and surround...I suppose they just changed things up from year to year...

My 09Z was like yours with the red trim and the console in black. I bought a earlier model red console like the second photo and replaced mine. It looked much better I thought. I scored the red console in the C6 parts for sale section.
