Default Anyone order from C7 Carbon lately? .. Long delays getting spoiler

I ordered a standard height ZR1 carbon fiber rear spoiler more than 2 months ago from C7 Carbon.

On there website it states that the shipping time may take up to 4 to 6 weeks. In fact, when I ordered it, the guy on the phone said I should have it in about a month ... no problem.

It now has been more than 2 months and it still has not shipped.

Every time I call C7 Carbon, I get the same answer .... That my order is next in line to be filled.

Just wondering if any one else has had wait times exceeding 2 months before getting a shipping email from C7 Carbon ?

The world is not going to come to an ending by this long wait time, but since it's been more than 2 months now, I may just call them and cancel the order and have them do a 'credit back' on my Visa card.

I am thinking that this company is having more problems that there just not openly talking about.

Longer than expected wait times are pretty much SOP with them. I'm on wait right now for the CF extended spoiler. Guy told me closer to 12 weeks. The stuff looks and fits great so I appreciate the honesty. My race diffuser took 10 weeks but I'm overly pleased with it.

I am thinking that this company could benefit if they hired more help.

Pretty obvious that they have much more work to do than they have available workers to do that work.

I ordered a cf extended spoiler and cf diffuser back in early feb. I was told they would ship in late march. Here we are over 2 months later and still no parts. Every time I call I'm told it will shipped next weekend. I'm about done with them.

Same experience here. Took about 2 months to get my CF rear diffuser. Sounds like they are always behind.

I've wanted their extended spoiler for a long time, but these types of stories keep me from ordering.

I went with C7 for the cost difference but Katech sounds like the only reasonable option.

Well, I guess I am not the only one that has to deal with all these C7 Carbon delays ..... one week, one week, one week, one week ... at a time

Yeah. It takes forever. You'd think if there are this many people, all paying top dollar, they'd get it in gear over there. Last summer it took 8+ weeks to get a CF extended spoiler. Just try not to think about it. haha!

If the factory can build a complete Corvette in just about 4 days (from the very start, to when it actually rolls out of the assembly line), I can't understand how it should take 2 months just to make a spoiler.

I'm confused.

They did share with me that the parts are made in Mexico. Shipments only come over every so often. My guess is that while the pieces are probably made rather quickly, they may sit in a container waiting to get filled and sent to the U.S.

Ok ... That explains it. They are getting the parts from Mexico. There job is just to apply the carbon fiber overlay on it before shipping it out to a customer.

Well, since they are located only about 2 miles from the US / Mexican border, the parts don't have far to travel before it gets to them. Parts are probably made in Tijuana.

No ... The last excuse was that there last shipment of carbon fiber cloth was too thin and caused problems when trying to wrap it on the spoiler.

They said they just got in a new roll of the correct thickness CF cloth, and mine is next in line to be made.

Do they charge your credit card when you order it, or when it ships?

I think that's what bugs the most, is that They have my money.
