Npp Mufflers
Hi guys,
I am going to install the npp mufflers on my 2007 this weekend. I already installed the npp in a box kit.
I already routed the vacuum lines and installed the NPP in a box. Going to
use the back of the intake manifold for vacuum ( will break the T-cap tonight). Question is : can I hook up the vacuum line to the npp box from the back of the intake without the mufflers installed and have no vacuum leaks, no issues?
Going to take it to a muffler shop this weekend to have the mufflers installed.
Thanks

Yes, as long as you don't push the button and have not hooked up the power. Remember vacuum sucks, doesn't blow. If it does cause a slight leak, plug the line. Hope you have small hands.

Yes. You will have to plug the hose @ the muffler end until you get exhaust mounted.
It is a PIA to get to the vacuum nipple on the back of the intake is all I can say. Get a mirror that pivots and a flash light. Bounce the light off the mirror until you can see the nipple. Take a long set of angled dikes or some type of snip and try to cut. Doesn't take much but it's in such a bad place, like everything tends to be. Oh...work from the passenger side if that's not clear.
You could do the exhaust yourself. It's not that bad.
Good Luck

All you need is nylon string to cut pvs. I use it all the time to repair under water sprinklers and electrical pvc conduit that's under ground.

Guys for the life of me I cant break off the t cap on the back of the manifold. I was trying last night with all the different methods mentioned above and nothing....
got some long nose angled pliers back there and twisted it a bit but not enough to break it off,,,,

Keep at it. It is a PIA but you will get it. Just the very tip has to come off.

Well I finally broke off the t-cap. Used the wire loop cutter as Bat66 used. Will the small hole sufficient enough for vacuum or should I increase the hole size with an angled pik? Here is a pic I took. You can see in the upper part of the mirror where the hole is
