my 09 z51 sits for awhile btwn use. would like to turn engine over without starting to circulate oil to prevent dry start up. do not believe hand crank will push oil through engine to prevent dry start. want to preserve engine. anyway to do this. want to build into the car, not external hook-up. drive it about 8k per yr. am adding A&A supercharger, cam & high vol oil pump. upgrading other parts to help with engine life. Head studs instead of bolts. Z06 headgaskets and timing gears, ect. Have any suggestions and or suppliers for this. Am having work done by pro shop. do not want to make any mistakes!!!

Putting gas pedal to the floor then hitting the start button will turn the engine over without starting. Whether it's really necessary is another question - oil sticks to moving parts for a long time.

Just leave it be the oil clings to parts for a long time

Thanks for the info John. asked dealer who said not possible. I wanted to know because I have always thought that starting was the hardest on engine. JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE ENGINE LASTS. I plan on keeping it as I don't think I will be able to afford to buy a new one. might be my last new car unless I inherit bucks for somebody. Am getting supercharger work done May first. will report back then.
