Brake Caliper Painting - Brackets too?

Last time I checked, you could get the G2 in several standard colors for about $50. If you want a custom color, perhaps to match the car color, it's close to $100.
How would bright red look on a CRM car?

I am painting my brake calipers this weekend using the G2 paint. The assembly will be off the car, which should make both the cleaning and painting a bit easier. My question is with respect to the brackets. Do folks generally paint those too (front and rear) or just the calipers.
I know it may be a matter of taste but I'd like to hear some input.
Thanks!

Do both brackets and caliper which makes the brakes look larger.
I used paint thinner on a rag and wiped the letters before the G2 paint fully dried or sand off with very fine sand paper or 00 steel wool when fully dried, otherwise the sand grit or steel wool fibers stick to the fresh paint.

Definitely both if you're going to do it. I've never been a fan of painted stock calipers unless their a fixed, non floating style.

Burning Brakes
I jsust did this useing the high heat caliper paint avail at zutozone...did it with the calipers on the car, just some easy masking. I sanded the front of the calipers after cleaning thoroghly with laquer thinner...then used thin coats of red, applied new decals and then followed up with their high heat clear...looks awesome.
I have used this method before on other cars and has held up well
The decals are easy to use, better looking than stock and avaiable from this guy Shawn Ellis <fourthodesigns@aol.com> for 14 bucks.
One more tip....you can use pennies to mask the bolt holes...I just put some goey double stick clay on the back to hold them one while I
painted.

Melting Slicks
I don't suppose anyone has painted calipers gold to go with crystal red?
The Brembo's on my motorcycles are gold. I think gold calipers would look good with crystal red and chrome factory wheels. Otherwise, I'd just keep them stock.
Crystal red and chrome wheel combo is pretty tough combination to find a great caliper color.
