I have the GM PAL installed on my car for a few years now(Factory 2007 radio). Runs flawless up until recently. Intermittent issue, the left side speakers sometimes will cut out when listening to iPhone iTunes library songs while driving.....FM/AM stereo works perfect if switch back to it from the PAL---no left side speakers cut out ever. Never had the FM/AM stereo cut out ever. And sometimes going over a bump the left side will cut out while the PAL is on, FM / AM stereo never cuts out as I mentioned before only when PAL is runnnig
Anyone ever have this issue? Could it be my connections? loose maybe?

Check your cable that runs from the PAL unit to your iPhone/iPod. After many years of use and bending, one or more of the single strand wires in the cable may have broken or is hanging by a thread. Try straightening out the cable in places that show wear from bending. I had this problem and luckily found someone local that repaired my cable for me. Took care of my problem. Unfortunately these cables are no longer available new. If that is your problem, you will have to find someone to repair your cable or search for someone with a GM PAL unit for sale that would sell you the cable only.
Your AM/FM has nothing to do with the PAL unit. That is why you are not having any sound issues with it.

Thanks will try your suggestions
I cleaned all the connections to see if that may help. cleaned the ipod connector.... Havent road tested it yet though
I was having some XM issues with the PAL, lost the XM channel. I contacted Ray and his first suggestion was go back into the left rear wheel well where the PAL unit is and disconnect all the cables and connections, wait a bit and reconnect everything, basically re-booting the entire system. That worked for me and I haven't had any problems since then...good luck!
