I have a 2012. The Manual Paddle Shift system can be deactivated by moving the shift lever from S (Sport Mode) back to D (Drive), or by holding either up - shift paddle for more than one second.

Everyday I'm using the paddles in my 2007 Z51 A6 more and more..... In fact I am pushing the downshift Forward to shift up, which I like better than altering my grip to push forward with thumb! I find it very intuitive and faster that way! Try it!

But still very interested in Modding mine by adding a momentary switch to toggle back into Auto-S after using the paddles (like Kevjud can do in his 2012), because it is tedious to keep shifting the whole lever to D and then back to S again!
Anybody have any ideas??? How about GM schematics so we can compare the original system with the newer (2010?) 1-Second Hold method? Wouldn't it be great if we just needed to tap and use a button to temporarily ground a wire??? Thoughts?
