Default Whats up with DD Mods?

Man, The guy Dennis seems to have a nice business with those bezels custom made for corvettes with the gauge pods built in...
I bought one about 8 months ago but keep getting the run around...now, no replies at all.
Since I found him here I'd like to ask if anyone else has any feedback.

Is the guy sick or incapacitated in some way? It isn't the 500 bucks or whatever it cost but the principal deal and the fact that I wanted that interior upgrade..even bought the new gauges....wired it up....
No center console bezel. I saw some reviews online telling the same story but thought to take a different approach.

I've never read a single negative word about Dennis here. In fact, just the opposite. I have a leather wrapped console bezel from him and couldn't be happier.

Have you tried calling him? He has always been extremely helpful to me. I know he was planning a vacation not too long ago. It is a very small operation and I know he is extremely busy.

I'm surprised. He has always answered my calls and we have had great conversations. He did my c5 bezel and my c6 door panels.

He does not always respond to emails but ANY time I call (did 2 weeks ago) he answered. Give him a call. You will get a hold of him.

I bought my Kenwood from Dennis and had no problems. A year or so later I bought full replacement speakers and had them installed by a person he recommended. Once again ... no problems.

I'm not sure I understand the issue you posted about. Did you order something and never receive it? Or is it followup service?

Nothing but good to say for Dennis.

Bought a custom made c5 bezel with a unique radio/hvac gauge setup. Came out perfect and in the amount of time that he said it would.

Bought a stereo setup for my C6 z to replace the nightmare that the previous owner put in. Came out exactly as I wanted it to.

Dennis answered most every phone call. The few that he missed were returned promptly the next day. Every email was answered. He's earned my trust over several transactions and a whole lot of time spent asking perhaps dozens of questions.

Call him, when he gets busy he may get backed up on email. He has always been responsive to telephone calls. I have called him in the Last month or so with questions and he picked right up or got back to me quickly.

It shows the quality of service as well as the character of the man by all the positive replies to your post. There has to be a problem that you/we are unaware of for Dennis to be unresponsive. I do hope he or his family are alright and I'm sure when he's able he will contact you..........

I'm sure he'll see this thread soon enough, and make right what ever the issue is with the OP's order. Hopefully it gets resolved in a way everyone is satisfied.

Yeah this is why i bought something from him in the first place because any vendor on the site should be 100% tried and true. Many people have good things to say so it must be an oversight.
Ill give a call tomorrow.
Thanks for the replies!

I have nothing but good to say about Dennis. i have made two trips to his shop for audio work and have been very happy with his work. He showed me around his shop and appears to be very busy. He is very friendly and very helpful. I will say he is often slow to answer emails because he is busy. Every time I needed to contact him, I just made a phone call. If he is away or busy his wife answers and takes a message. Dennis will then call you back at his first chance. At least that is the way it worked for me. I will also mention he goes way out of his way to be helpful to his customers. Since my install was a long process, he drove me and my wife to a local hotel after dropping our car off. The next morning he picked us up at the hotel and brought us back to his shop to get our car. He then took the time to explain what he had done and how the new system worked. He is my first choice for my audio.

Yup, seems the phone call worked out well. Nice people and seems we are back on track.
I guess it just got overlooked.

I bought a bezel from him and noticed a blemish almost a year later. I contacted him and it turned out to be a crack. He replaced it no questions asked.

I feel I must chime in on this as well, ordered a bezel stereo combo in March 2017, completely in alignment with the 8 to 10 week delivery. When those dates came and went, called and spoke with Dennis, said there was an issue receiving the head unit, OK, I get that. Time went by, another 4 to 6 weeks, nothing. Called again and Dennis said he was out of town on family business and would return my call when he returned, OK I understand personal business, nothing. At 24 weeks called Dennis, left a message and requested he call me back and update me on when I could expect my order to be fulfilled, nothing. So I tried an email the following week, it has been almost a week and nothing. It has been six months since placing my order and I am definitely frustrated and beginning to believe that I have made a bad decision choosing DDMods. This not the outcome I prefer, I would like to have this transaction end amicable, but my gut tells me this may not be the case. I will be attempting to call Dennis one more time in the next couple of days, hopefully it will be a successful conversation.
