2008 Side Mirror problems
Hopefully someone can toss me a helpful hint here.
2008 Z06. My passenger mirror can go partly side to side but can't go up and down at all. I can hear the motor moving the mirror doesn't budge. I've tried pushing on it thinking it may have popped out of place but to no avail. I can't manually move it either so I'm getting a solid look at the ground all the time.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

My only knowledge of mirrors is when my glass popped off (due to hitting a glancing blow to one of those orange barrels at nite). I'll send you some url/pics of the guts inside but it sounds like either a gear is gunked up, or something is broken/not connected. Since it's easy to pop off the mirror (and easy but sweat-producing to pop it back on), after watching a vid, you may want to pop off the mirror and look inside to see what might be happening. Have some tape ready to hold it up. I'll add on to this post when I find the pics.
