You must be kidding me
So not even 2 weeks into owning the 427. She's at the shop.
Took the car out for a drive this morning. Not even 15 mins in I received the following warnings.
Service ABS
Service Active handling system
Then the car just died. Luckily I was in a safe place that I was able to coast to the shoulder. I started to smell burning from under the hood.
I checked to see if I had any fluids leaking anywhere. Fear of a dropped valve. But I didn't see anything.
When the tow driver came he hooked up a portable battery and it fired up for 5 secs and died.
Towed it to my mechanic and he will look at it tomorrow.
So what do you guys think may be the issue. I'm so sick of cars.
If I lived in an area where riding a bicycle was an option. I would of done that.

I had the same type of thing. Car ran extremely rough, those two warnings came up and had to limp off the highway. ended up being the gas cap not being put on properly. Good luck and hopefully yours is a simple fix.

Retired & lovin' it!
P0336 is the crankshaft position sensor; P0300 is random/multiple cylinder misfire.....which in turn can be caused by a bad crankshaft position sensor. IMHO it's something more than a bad battery. Find a good diagnostic tech to look at it.....check with your local Vette club to find one.

And I really don't want to deal with this so early into ownership. This is the third time driving the car.
And although I'm still under warranty. I'm 99% sure whatever is wrong with it. It won't be covered.

When I bought my 08 Z51 used I made them give me the 12/12 Warranty with the car. I had a similar issue within a short period of time of owning the car. $2,000 in covered parts later it was the BCM. I've had my Car to 3 different dealers in 2 different states and my opinion is that Chevrolet does not really know how to fix these cars. Good Luck, let us know how you make out.

Best of luck!

Given what has been posted, I think it's a spark plug issue. Either one is loose/off, or a spark plug wire is broken.
Let us know what they find.

My bet - neither the battery or plug/wires...perhaps a faulty battery connection or ground?
My opinion, worth you paid for it...
Hope it turns out to be something easily fixed. Best of luck, sorry to hear about this.

Cruising
I had the same active handling lights come on in my 2005, but mine would brake on the left side, on it own without warning! After more research on these board, I learned that other people had similar issues and the dealer fix was only temporary in some cases. After one failed dealer attempt to fix the problem, I decided not to keep the car. Because it was a safety issue, they took it back with a full refund.

I would recommend following the codes rather than replacing batteries and other parts. These two codes are intimately related. 0336 shows a failed crank position sensor, followed by 0300 which is several random misfires.
The ECM uses (relies) on the CPS signal so it can find the proper time to follow the firing order on all the cylinders. If the ECM does not get this signal (from the 0336 failure), it loses its ability to command spark at the right time.
CPS is a primary input signal to the ECM and can fail intermittently or completely, but completely and the car wouldn't start. Also, if the magnetic head of the CPS is contaminated with metalic crud, it might be intermittently missing TDC.
Rereading - the car died, so I think a completely failed CPS. BTW, the AH, ABS warnings are just standard fare when primary failures occur.

Burning Brakes
I agree on looking at the crankshaft position sensor first. I believe the passenger side exhaust and the starter need to be moved out of the way to replace it.
