I have a 2011 4Lt convert that has developed the bubbles in the leather dash in the past few weeks. The car is always garaged and has 28K miles on it. I took it to the Chevrolet dealer last week and they inspected it and gave me an estimate of $3900 to replace the dash. I asked if there was any assistance available from GM so they contacted GM to ask and said it was immediately denied. I called the Chevy zone office and talked to a manager there and he said since it was over 3 years old it was out of warranty and there was no consideration. That is GM policy.
I'm posting to find out if anyone knows the name and address of someone higher up at GM that might give me some assistance with repairing the dash since I've been a loyal Corvette customer for many years. I currently also have a 2015 that I purchased new about 20 months ago. I appreciate any help you can give me or suggestions. Thanks
Forget that plan. Go to a custom upholsterer. Get a windshield replacement company to meet you there and have them remove the windshield. The dash can be fixed a lot cheaper than having the whole thing removed and replaced. There was a thread here recently where someone did it that way and as far as I remember it cost under $400 total including r&r of windshield.
Thank you for not describing this as the DREADED 4LT dash problem. So many people describe their various Corvette situations as "dreaded" which makes me hope they don't sit around all day worrying about something that may or may not happen. I agree with the person who advised you to go to an upholstery shop for repair.

Thanks for your feedback. One of the problems I have with this is finding an upholstery shop that I can depend on to do a good job in the Houston area.
If you go to a local car show look at some of the leather interiors and find out who did them....that way you get a preview of the quality of their work and not just hear say.
I also have 13 GS 4LT and have watched this problem for the last couple years. The best and easiest repair as stated is to remove the windshield and stick it back down. Keep us posted if your experience. 😎
