receiving phone calls

I have an iPhone 6 paired with my 2012 Grandsport and have stored a few phone numbers and name tags. Should the name tag appear in the DIC when receiving an incoming call from a stored number? All I'm getting is the number and not the name. I seem to recall that the stored name would appear in previous years. I am not subscribed to onstar and haven't been since the trial period ended.

My 11 only displays the phone number.

I think the nav unit may be my most hated thing on my car.

In for the updates.

I only get the phone number as well. I retrofitted factory Bluetooth into my 08.

I only see the number also

NAV unit has nothing to do with bluetooth in our vetted

On stored name tags and numbers you only get the number on incoming calls. For out going calls you need to just say the tag name to place a call.

I don't bother with the tag name. I use the Voice Pass-Thru function. It's in section 7-16 in your manual. That allows you to interface directly with your phone and access your contacts, assuming you have a smartphone that allows you to use voice to access your contacts.
