My girlfriend bought her first Corvette. Now we have his and hers!
She was looking at 370z's, but ended up finding an 09 6spd and asked me about it. She's seen me own several but said she wasn't sure the car was for her, but that she found herself drawn to C6's. I told her to drive it, and determine what she thinks after that. She went for about a 3 mile drive and was like, "wow...this is incredible". I knew she was sold.
She's mostly owned BMW's, so that's her standard of performance. She was really impressed with the steering in the 09, which I think is a testament to that update C6 made. My C5z's steering turn-in and stiffness is certainly subpar vs this car.
So...she is ready to mod. We will be wrapping the car together in Orafal Aubergine Flip...she's getting pretty good with wrap (we wrapped her bmw). Slight lower, not much, then some wheels. I helped her restore the headlights, but she does the work. She's a go getter for sure and very good with her hands. I'm lucky. Fringe benefit is, I get to enjoy a C6 and decide whether I go C6Z or C7 GS next.

She's a keeper for sure. Car and girl...lol. She loves the car though. I negotiated the deal for her but she ended up getting it at 18350.00. Clean title, 2 owner. Only issue we discovered later was that the headlights didn't work. I did the recall bypass on it though (fuse box problem) and all is well. The headlights were slightly fogged but, we fixed it up. Feels like it may have a bit of crank pulley wobble, so I may have to do that but....couldn't go wrong on an 08+ at that price.
I suspect she'll keep it for at least a couple. She already started eyeballin C7's...I'm like...EASY now...lol...enjoy what you got.

She liked the exterior design but once she drove it, she felt pretty disappointed. I drove it as well and really felt the car was a let down. Steering was on point and power delivery was surprisingly good. The drivetrain slop, excessive body dive and overall cheapness really turned me off of it though. We drove a 20k mile car too.
She certainly feels like she came out better on the deal. She's a stylist at a very high end salon, she does very well. She has a small number of male clientele, but the ones she does have all know her as a "car girl" as her past 3 have all been modified bmw's and one civic. They were pretty surprised by her purchase.
She continually says she can't believe its hers...lol. She says its the car she always wanted, in terms of power, steering feel and presence. She just said she always saw Corvettes as "my thing". She and I want to go to Laguna Seca in both Corvettes next year and both do the 2019 5yr Corvette Cruise to Bowling Green. We went to Petit Lemans this year but my Z06 wasn't done yet.
What can I say...she's my dream girl...lol.

I've been good about getting rid of a few, but I regret selling every one of them every time. I can see us having 4 for sure. I'd like to see her get a C7 and me pick up a C6Z. She has eyes for the CTS-V though also...she's liked them for several years.
