I believe that the harness uses an IC to use a feature within the switchback LED bulb that activates the white running light when both the running light and the turn signal circuits receive voltage at the same time. When the IC receives voltage on the yellow circuit longer than standard turn signal flash duration a timer activates and sends votage to both circuits for the duration that the yellow circuit is receiving sustained voltage. This is why when the DRL's first light they light yellow for app. 2 seconds before switching to white.
Your only alternative for a white DRL without the IC harness is to use a white-only LED bulb.

Not sure by what you mean " Keeping the wiring Clean" , Radio's harness looks like it could be factory installed .....
Read it again and you'll see i was referring to keeping the wiring clean WITHOUT buying radioflyers harness. I agree completely that they did an excellent job with their harness.
I have already ordered it.

I use white always DRLs as well....I only had to cut one wire on each one to install the load resistor. I got mine from JWM....they match my low beams and my drivin lights.

Looks like the OP has it figured out, but we do offer an all white LED bulb for those that only want white. PM for more.
