Sat in a C7 on Saturday

Roughly same size & I also found 7's seats snug & interior 'small', C6's much roomier. Told passenger side's even smaller, nearly claustrophobic.
Many chaffe points w/ legs, knees, elbows also.
So after 50K+ wondering how well 7's interior will hold up, or not?
Honestly didn't mind tight C7 seats per se, C4's fit's similar.
But I also clearly recall seeing all too many C4s w/ very tired looking seats due to the tight fit, too.
So $64 question is: will C7 seat wear be akin to C4's?

with the OEM's really basing production cars on manufacturing costs, can't say that there have been marked improvement in materials used on interiors in a long time............ fit and finish may have improved, but the quality of the materials used not so much............

I fit in a C7 quite nicely!

Some C7s are narrower than the C6, some are wider.
All C6s are 75.9" wide.
Z51 C7s are only 73.9" wide, but Z06 C7 coupes are 77.4" wide, and Z06 C7 convertibles are also 77.4" wide.

Agree with posts above.
If you really want to feel "confined", take a ride in the passenger seat of a C7. I did (once), and thought I was in my brothers 69 MGB! (as I recall, that wasn't a great experience either).
As the line goes, my C6 fits me "just right".

My 2 cents is based solely on my body contact w/ various interior panels/seats after trying one on...several times.
Again, personally I didn't mind being cradled by 7's seats.
We wait to see how well, or not, the stuff GM used is/was.
Time's flying, C7s already into its 4th year, so wait won't be long.
Already seeing a few high mile (75K+) C7s, those 7s will tell the whole story.

I really like the C7 interior! I think the seats are nice and grippy and supportive. They're tighter, yes, but I feel like the C6 cabin is actually a little too wide. I have to really splay my legs to keep my body from flopping around at over 1g (thanks, HUD!). In the carousel at Blackhawk, it's enough that I actually slide in the wide, flat seat until I'm against the door panel. I'd rather be held in.
And I'm not a little guy. I'm a husky 6', 280lbs.

I have to disagree. I had a C5 last September before I got my C6 at the end of said month. I drove to Tennessee to buy the C6 from Michigan. The ride in the C5 was horrible. Ride back was amazing, and it wasn't new car bias. The seats are softer, nice. More leg room. I'm 6ft 205lb. Not a fat dude at all, but the c5 always felt a little more snug. But I didn't mind it too much till the C6 opened my eyes to how roomy a Vette could be.
Sat in a c7 and I felt a little more cramped than a c5. Grabbing the door release would be a pain in the *** if you ever had a battery die out in a C7.

I'm under 5'7, 150 lbs so I pretty much fit in anything. But with the seat in my C6 forward where I need it, I have to drop it all the way down to gain comfortable headroom. Oddly enough, I have the seat in my 911 raised and still have a ton of headroom. The cabin is much smaller than the Vette but there seems to be much more room for occupants. Perhaps because Germans are generally tall.
I sat in several C7s and was fine, but I didn't want to have to sell the 911 so I went with a C6. One thing I noticed while shopping was how many C7s, even with 3-6K miles on them, the upholstery on the center console lid was stretched and wrinkled from the driver's elbow. Never saw it on a C6. I also have read of problems with the dash covering. So I'm skeptical whether the materials are even as good as the C6.

The C-5 seats were not well made at all. They were notorious for driver side bolster wear and cracks in the part you sit in. The C-6 appear to wear very well. I can fit in a C-7 just fine. The C-4's were too small for most people and it was like sitting in a cockpit. I think the C-6 does have the most room which is ok with me.

Lotsa misinformation about the C7 here.
They are virtually the same mirror to mirror, body panels are the difference. Same as the C6 (in that regard).
The interior dimensions are different (C6 to C7) depending on what exactly you are comparing. The seats are more snug feeling, mostly because of the higher seat bottom bolsters. The passenger side is definitely more snug than the C6. The cockpit is more driver-oriented, and the passenger is more isolated with less leg room. The passenger dash is closer to the passenger.
The trunk room is virtually the same. I could go on, but that's all that comes to mind right now. Ask me a question, and I will answer, as I have a few miles on both.

Try this on your supposedly same size C7 -- if you are above 6' sit in drive position and spread your knees till they stop - measure the width... then go do the same in a C6 .

Reread my post, the C7 is smaller on the interior compared to the C6. The C7 interior does not change size with which model C7 you may (not) have, any more than it did with the different C6 models.
