No 05 ECMs anywhere in the GM and dealer network.
MY ECM took a dump while I was de-tuning the car with an SCT tuner, and now the dealer cannot find one ECM in the GM or dealer network for an 05.
He said the 05s used a different ECM than other years of this generation.
I hope they come up with one soon, It's been a week.

Wait...what?....so, your car is being held hostage by a dealer who can basically keep your car disabled....forever?
Since you're walking anyway, why not follow up with CoW and see if there is an alternative. If there is...You can pull your car out of its hostage situation tomorrow. Fladbed it back to your driveway if there is a viable alternative.

They promised a resolution by Monday, hopefully they will come through with it.

COW might have the E40 ECM, but he won't have the original file that is specific to my VIN, only dealers have that. I typically do not take the car to the dealer, but in this instance , I had no choice.

Car is fixed and back at home. They eventually found a factory refurbished unit for $349

Yes the PCM is 2005 ONLY. BE CAREFUL - There are a bunch that LOOK EXACTLY LIKE IT, but they will NOT WORK.
I have many of them and can usually help anyone in need.
As a bonus I can put in a great tune or the Famous CoW BOOSTER! while the ecm is on the workbench.
The 2005 ECMs can fail more often than any other Corvette ECMs, but even still it's kinda rare given
how many 2005 Corvettes are out there.
If you think you have a bad 2005 ECM, give me a call and most often I can bail you out of a big expensive mess.
