I know this is beating a dead horse but the responses are a little confusing. I have an 07 with the regular radio but I do have Bose speakers. If I bought the navigation set up from a for a member would it be plug-and-play or would it be more trouble than it's worth? I'm not really concerned about the actual use of the navigation I am more doing it for aesthetics of the interior. As long as the radio works I'm good. Forum member seem to sell them for around 250 and I k ow I can't get an aftermarket for less than that. Any help is appreciated!

If you ask me. Save a few more bucks and go aftermarket.
Your going to be able to do CarPlay or android auto for 500-600 and it will be much nicer than the stock nav unit
the thing most don't realize is changing to aftermarket your not only upgrading the radio but the rest of the sound as well. Just a head unit only change is going to make a huge difference to the sound even when retaining stock speakers.

I swapped mine out a couple years ago and it wasn't that difficult. As per the above post, follow Ray Kawal's instructions. If you have questions, he will be happy to answer them for you. He also has all the necessary wires and plugs you will need, except for the Nav antenna.
You'll need a nav antenna from the dealer. You can stick it on top of the AC duct inside the dash and it will work. Other than that , it's plug and play.
you will have to take it to the dealer to have it paired to your VIN.
The radio will work in accessory mode, but as soon as you start the car, the radio will go into theft lock.
dealers typically charge an hour labor to do this, although it take minutes to do.
