brake pedal metallic jingle sound
I have a 2012 a6 auto car, my brake pedal makes a metallic jingling sound when releasing it from a stop. I can move it with my foot and make it jingle also. Does anyone else's auto brake pedal make this sound? I'm i missing a rubber bump stop or something.

I also have a metallic sound when releasing the brake. I haven't gotten down in that area to really check it for a cause. Maybe a helpful reply will narrow down the issue.

Howdy, I figured a good ole' Google search would help me out on this issue, but it only brings me to this thread. I am having the same issue - from a stop, when you take your foot off the brake peddle quickly to put your foot on the gas - the brake makes a very distinct "Clink" sound. Does anyone know how to fix/prevent it?

I had a metallic jingle when stopping or on bumpy surface. It turned out to be the metal ring that goes around the rear view mirror ball and socket had come loose. Took me a while to isolate it...
