I would say you got your money's worth on that one. Replace it before it leaves you stranded.
Yea those batts that last that long are a wonderful thing. Only problem with them is when they decide to go South, they go in a hurry and all the charging in the world won't help......
I was like you on my 2008.....the battery was fine after almost 8 years.....but we were going on a week long road trip of car museums around the midwest and southeast. Rather than risk a battery death on the road at a inopportune time, I just had it replaced when having the car serviced for the trip (changed coolant, transmission fluid, rear end fluid, brake fluid....and a fresh oil change of course). No worries then!
Replace it. I had a 6 year old battery. Was going on a 4800 mile cross country trip. Replaced battery with another OEM for cheap. Peace of mind was worth EVERY penny! I now use a battery tender so it should last longer....I hope.
True, it's easy to replace and takes no time to do it. But do you really think it will happen when you have lots of spare time with your tools ready? LOL

Why spend $100 + for a battery that works just fine. You can buy a battery anywhere....Wally World, AutoZone, any auto car parts store. And it takes less than 10 minutes to change. I just don't understand. If you weren't going on a trip, would you replace it now???
At the very least I would buy a replacement battery and keep it in your garage on a Battery Tender. You'll know when it's time to install it. I've done that with two of Red's three replacement batteries.
My thought is if it goes one more year you save $10, $20 if it goes two years. For me, peace of mind is worth more than $10 or $20. Had a battery go bad in Nebraska on a trip to Colorado. I was wishing I had replaced it before the trip.
orginal battery in my 07. Doing some road trips soon. Battery meter say it strong. Still 10 years old. Should I replace??
I have also had good long term service out of the Delco batteries in all of my vettes and when it comes time to replace them I always get another Delco battery. Usually runs less than a $100 for the new Delco Professional.
I would say at 10 years it is time to get a new one.
if it says 6 year battery for example. it can run more than 6 years but manufacturers say 6 year battery to cover themselves. but dam 10 years is alot nice.
